Commercial Underwriting

Andrew

Joining the industry in 2002, Andrew transitioned from managing a residential title agency into the commercial sector during law school. He first joined Chicago Title’s New York National Commercial Services team in 2009, returning to the team in 2025. Andrew also worked with Chicago’s DC & Baltimore NCS from 2013-2019. In his present role, he works to underwrite and facilitate single-site transactions and complex multi-site/multi-state commercial portfolio transactions on a nationwide basis. Working in conjunction with Chicago’s vast network of local underwriters, Andrew works to identify and immediately cure any title issues that could potentially interfere with a smooth closing process. He also serves as a single point of contact for numerous clients, parties’ outside counsels, REITs, and institutional lenders throughout the country.

I am fortunate to work within a group whose experience and professionalism allows me to meet our clients’ expectations, regardless of the size or complexity of their transactions. I have and will continue to benefit from the collective knowledge of Chicago Title’s national team.

Andrew has prepared and conducted numerous agency seminars and continuing education courses for clients and has lectured on subject matters as varied as national riparian rights and title insurance as it relates to the cannabis industry. The special needs community is very close to his heart and Andrew serves as a board member of Itineris, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides support and resources to autistic adults as they transition out of the school system.

Andrew has a B.A. in English from the University of Richmond and received his law degree summa cum laude from the University of Baltimore while managing a title agency. He lives in Timonium, Maryland with his wife and three children. Andrew enjoys live music, his daughter’s artwork and attending and coaching his sons’ youth sports teams and theater productions.
